Abstract
[spa] Este trabajo analiza el proceso de mistificación visual de la feminidad normativizada de la figura de Marilyn Monroe, en el cruce entre cine, arte pop y cultura de masas. A través del análisis de su imagen en la obra de Andy Warhol, se aborda su transformación en signo estetizado y repetible. Desde una perspectiva crítica, se estudian los mecanismos de fetichización, performatividad de género y vaciamiento simbólico. La investigación concluye que Monroe ejemplifica la reducción de la identidad femenina a imagen circulante dentro del sistema visual patriarcal.
[eng] This paper analyzes the process of visual mystification of the normativized femininity embodied by the figure of Marilyn Monroe, at the intersection of cinema, pop art, and mass culture. Through an analysis of her image in the work of Andy Warhol, it explores her transformation into an aestheticized and repeatable sign. From a critical perspective, the research examines mechanisms of fetishization, gender performativity, and symbolic hollowing. The study concludes that Monroe exemplifies the reduction of female identity to a circulating image within the patriarchal visual system.
