El personaje alegórico en el primer teatro de Cervantes

Abstract

[spa]La carrera dramatúrgica de Cervantes no gozó de tanto éxito como las de algunos contemporáneos suyos, sin embargo, de su primer acercamiento al género nos han llegado tres piezas teatrales. En el presente estudio analizaremos una tipología de personaje que es común en las tres: el personaje alegórico. A partir su análisis, estudiaremos las figuras desde un nivel técnico – reparando en la versificación, el efectismo y el vestuario –, metateatral y simbólico, respectivamente. De esta manera se podrán advertir las tendencias y novedades que el autor otorgó a este tipo de personaje. Palabras clave: Cervantes, teatro, Siglo de Oro, personaje alegórico, metateatralidad

[eng]Cervantes’ dramaturgical career was not as successful as those of some of his contemporaries, however, from his first approach to the genre we have received three plays. In this study, we will analyse a typology of character that is common to all three: the allegorical figure. From its analysis, we will study the figures from a technical – looking at versification, dramatic effects, and costumes –, metatheatrical and symbolic levels, respectively. Thus, the trends and novelties that the author gave to this type of character can be noticed. Key words: Cervantes, theatre, Golden Age, allegorical figures, metatheatricality
