[cat] Aquest projecte ha consistit en la realització d’una sèrie de 7 il·lustracions digitals històriques ambientades en el món dels víkings i en alguns dels pobles més distants amb qui van mantenir contacte. Al tractar-se d’una cultura tan complexa, diversa, rica i canviant, he decidit centrar-me en un aspecte concret com és l’expansió dels víkings pel món i les influències externes en el seu vestuari i panòplia militar, així com la manera com la indumentària varia en funció de la jerarquia social del seu portador. Les il·lustracions formen part d’un projecte personal més extens que tracta sobre l’Alta Edat Mitjana, que és el període històric que més m’entusiasma, perquè és l’època en que els pobles bàrbars, inclosos els víkings, es van veure influenciats per la cultura clàssica.
[eng] This project has consisted in the realization of a series of 7 historical digital illustrations set in the world of the Vikings and some of the most distant peoples with whom they had contact. As they were such a complex, diverse, rich and changing culture, I have decided to focus on a specific aspect, such as the expansion of the Vikings around the world and the external influences in their clothes and military panoply, as well as the way clothing varies depending on the social hierarchy of its wearer. The illustrations are part of a larger personal project about the Early Middle Ages, which is the historical period that I am most excited about, because it is the time when barbarian peoples, including the Vikings, were influenced by classical culture.
