[cat] Estudi arqueològic de les poues de glaç de Castellcir (El Moainès). Durant els segles XVI-XIX la producció, emmagatzematge i transport de gel a la ciutat de Barcelona van esdevenir una indústria de gran importància en aquesta comarca. L’estudi localitza les poues de glaç de Castellcir, en descriu la seva situació actual i explica les característiques generals del seu funcionament. En aquest sentit reivindica la importància del patrimoni preindustrial d’Època Moderna i la necessitat del seu coneixement i protecció.
[eng] Archaeological study of the ice wells of Castellcir (El Moianès). During the XVI-XIX centuries, production, storage and transport of ice to the city of Barcelona became an industry of great importance to this region. This study locates the ice wells of Castellcir, describes the current situation and explains the characteristics of its operation. In this sense it reclaims the importance of preindustrial heritage in the Modern era and the necessity of its knowledge and protection.
