Localització i estudi del nucli d’hàbitat medieval de l’Espona (Pallars Jussà)

Abstract

[cat] L’antic nucli d’hàbitat de l’Espona és una vil·la medieval documentada entre els pobles de Tremp i Cellers, a la comarca del Pallars Jussà. Tot i que hi ha documentació d’època (sobretot en els anomenats “Papers de Mur”) on s’hi esmenten límits de terres i masos situats en aquest indret, o inclús cognoms de persones que es corresponen amb el nom de l’Espona, arqueològicament encara no s’ha localitzat. En aquest estudi, doncs, es pretén acotar l’àrea on caldria fer la recerca d’aquesta vil·la a través de l’estudi de topònims, de la documentació, i de prospeccions oculars en els llocs on es cregui que es podria localitzar aquest nucli.

[eng] The ancient village of l’Espona it’s a medieval living area documented between the villages of Tremp and Cellers, in the Pallars Jussà region. Even though we have medieval documentation of this site (mostly found in the called “Papers de Mur”), where we can find written the limits of some lands and farmhouses located in this site, or even surnames of people that correspond to l’Espona, it hasn’t been archaeologically found yet. So, in this study, we pretend to delimit the area where we should focus the research of this village by the use of the studies of the place names, the documentation, and the making of ocular prospections in the areas where we think we could find this habitat nucleus.
