Abstract

[spa] Esta obra es una colección de expresiones artísticas intermedia que acogen la textualidad, el dibujo,el objeto y el audiovisual como resultado de la escucha profunda de los recuerdos de migrantes con origen colombiano. Mediante esta escucha más allá del sonido, busco representar estas memorias de la infancia que me han sido confiadas, para así vislumbrar aquello que nos une y pasa desapercibido. Estos relatos fluyen a través de mí para ser poéticamente entretejidos creando un mundo común que reposa entre el pasado y el ahora. Así como migran nuestros cuerpos, migran nuestros sueños, nuestros recuerdos y nuestro origen. Escuchándonos, podemos trascender límites geopolíticos y temporales, y así componer un imaginario colectivo propio y un sentido de pertenencia transfronterizo.

[eng] This artwork is a collection of intermedia artistic expressions that encompass textuality, drawing, the object and the audiovisual as a result of a deep listening process involving memories of Colombian migrants. My objective is to represent childhood memories through this listening beyond sound, and to give light to that which can unite us but can be overlooked. These stories flow through me as I interweave them creating a common world between the then and the now. Just as our bodies migrate, so do our dreams, our memories and our origin. Listening to each other we can transcend geopolitical and temporal borders, to then compose our own collective imagery and a transborder sense of belonging.
