Noves Femmes Fatales: monstres culturals en la cinematografia feminista del Hollywood del segle XXI

[cat] La present investigació explora les femmes fatales, un arquetip històric molt prolífic en les narratives de ficció, a través la producció fílmica occidental i mainstream de Hollywood del segle XXI. S’assenyalen les bases blanc-hetero-sexistes i binàries sobre què s’ha construït aquest arquetip i es contrasten els arguments pels què en l’actualitat se les considera personatges que poden perpetuar rols i estereotips sexistes i patriarcals, així com les noves aproximacions que en fan una escriptura i lectura des de postures feministes. Mitjançant les pel·lícules Jennifer’s Body (Karin Kusama, 2009) i Promising Young Woman (Emerald Fennell, 2020), s’abordaran el manteniment i la transgressió de les característiques i discursos entorn feminitat, poder i perillositat de les noves propostes audiovisuals de femmes fatales, així com els discursos i contradiccions que encarnen.

[eng] The following investigative paper intends to carry out an analysis on the femme fatale, a very prolific archetype in fictional narratives, through the western mainstream film production of the 21st century Hollywood production. The white-hetero-sexist and binary bases on which this archetype has been built are pointed out and the arguments why they are currently considered characters that perpetuate sexist and patriarchal roles and stereotypes are contrasted, as well as the new approaches that make a writing and reading of them from feminist positions. Through the films Jennifer's Body (Karyn Kusama, 2009) and Promising Young Woman (Emerald Fennell, 2020), this study addresses the maintenance and transgression of the characteristics and discourses surrounding femininity, power, and danger in the new audiovisual proposals of femmes fatales, as well as the discourses and contradictions they embody.
