Abstract
[cat] Aquest treball presenta un estudi monogràfic sobre la Casa Sensat-Pagès, coneguda actualment com la Casa de la Cultura del Masnou. Abasta temes com el context històric i artístic del municipi en les dues últimes dècades del segle XIX, corresponents a l’època modernista; i la història dels propietaris i del mestre d’obres de l’edifici. Com també respecte l’anàlisi formal de la casa en el moment en que va ser construïda i una explicació de les diverses reformes que ha patit fins a l’actualitat.
Aquest estudi vol contribuir en la revalorització de la casa, de l’art d’època modernista fora de Barcelona i sobretot, a la del seu projectista, Pere Andreu i Cisa.
[eng] This project presents a monographic study about Casa Sensat-Pagès, currently known as Casa de la Cultura from Masnou. It covers topics such as the historical and artistic context of the municipality in the last two decades of the XIX century, corresponding to the modernist era; and the history of the owners and the master builder of the house. It also includes a formal analysis of the building at the time it was built and an explanation of the various renovations that it has undergone to the present day. This study will contribute to the revaluation of the building, of the art of the modernist period outside Barcelona and above all, of its master builder, Pere Andreu i Cisa.
