[cat] Els llibres d’indumentària i els gravats de moda en el període que va des de finals del segle XVI a mitjans del
segle XVII és el principal objecte d’estudi d’aquest treball. Intentarem mostrar, reinterpretant les classificacions
dels gravats de moda d’Elisabeth Seaton, com en el segle XVII aquest tipus d’estampa va seguir realitzant-se
amb els models estilístics del segle XVI barrejats amb altres gèneres artístics com les al·legories. Tot plegat
s’analitzarà a partir de l’estudi de seixanta estampes de gravadors com Abraham Bosse, Jeremias Falck i
Wenceslaus Hollar, entre d’altres.
[eng] Costume and fashion plates from the late sixteenth to mid-seventeenth century are the main object of this study. We will demonstrate how in the seventeenth century fashion prints were done with the stylistic models of the sixteenth century mixed with other genres such as allegories, using the fashion-plate’s classification of Elisabeth Seaton and an analysis of sixty prints by engravers such as Abraham Bosse, Jeremias Falck and Wenceslaus Hollar, among others.
