[spa] El presente estudio se centra en la problemática de los Menores Extranjeros No Acompañados (MENAS), una realidad cada vez más imperante en la sociedad actual. Estos jóvenes, al realizar su proceso migratorio sin la compañía de un adulto responsable, se encuentran con una serie de problemáticas al llegar al territorio de acogida. El objetivo de esta investigación es comprender en profundidad el proceso migratorio de los MENAS, así como su experiencia dentro del sistema de protección de menores y la transición fuera de este sistema. Se plantea la pregunta sobre si estos aspectos pueden generar factores de riesgo que conduzcan a la participación en conductas de riesgo o delictivas. Para abordar esta cuestión, se lleva a cabo una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura académica existente y se realizan entrevistas a profesionales del ámbito y jóvenes migrantes. La hipótesis propuesta sugiere una relación significativa entre la falta de apoyo familiar y social, la carencia de servicios de protección adecuados, y la exposición a factores de riesgo, y la probabilidad de que los MENAS se vean involucrados en actividades delictivas o de riesgo.
[eng] The present study focuses on the issue of Unaccompanied Migrant Minors (UMMs), an increasingly prevalent reality in today’s society. These young individuals, when undergoing their migratory process without the accompaniment of a responsible adult, face a series of challenges upon reaching the host country. The aim of this research is to thoroughly understand the migratory process of UMMs, as well as their experience within the minor protection system and their transition out of this system. The question arises as to whether these aspects can lead to risk factors that may result in involvement in risky or criminal behaviors. To address this question, a comprehensive review of existing academic literature is conducted, alongside interviews with professionals in the field and young migrants. The proposed hypothesis suggests a significant relationship between the lack of family and social support, the absence of adequate protection services, and exposure to risk factors, and the likelihood of UMMs becoming involved in criminal or risky activities.
