La Dirección Escolar ante los retos de la diversidad cultural. Un estudio de casos en la comuna de Recoleta en Santiago de Chile

Abstract

[spa] Esta tesis tiene como objetivo, comunicar los procesos de investigación y los resultados de un estudio de casos sobre las prácticas directivas presentes en centros escolares con diversidad cultural. Este objetivo es posible a partir del estudio de las acciones directivas para atender a la diversidad cultural en contextos educativos en una comuna de Santiago de Chile. En dicho contexto, los directivos escolares cobran una gran relevancia, debido a la función que desempeñan en los centros, ya que son los encargados de planificar, organizar, dirigir, coordinar y evaluar todas las acciones tendientes a atender al alumnado, influyendo con sus acciones y decisiones a toda la comunidad, incluyendo a los niños migrantes pertenecientes a dichos centros. Con ello, esta Tesis se centra en las acciones directivas para la atención de la diversidad cultural en contextos educativos determinados, que por sus características particulares requieren de una atención inclusiva centrada en la diversidad cultural. A partir de ello, se busca asegurar el derecho individual a una educación de calidad para todos los alumnos, considerando no solo sus diferencias en cuanto a aptitudes, intereses, motivaciones, capacidades o estilos de aprendizaje, sino también sus características sociales y culturales derivadas de su condición de migrante. Esta tesis consta de cinco capítulos que corresponden al planteamiento del problema, marco teórico, marco metodológico, análisis de datos y resultados de la investigación.

[eng] This thesis had as objective, communicate the processes of investigation and the results of a study of cases about the principals practices in school centers with cultural diversity. This objective was possible from the study of the managerial actions to attend to the cultural diversity in educational contexts in a municipality in Santiago of Chile. In the above mentioned context, the school principals receive a great relevancy, due to the function that they recover in the centers, since they are the managers to plan, to organize, to direct, to coordinate and evaluate all the actions tending to attend to the student body, influencing with his actions and decisions to the whole community, including the children immigrants belonging to the above mentioned centers. It is like that, this Thesis centred on the principals actions for the attention of the cultural diversity on educational certain contexts, which for his particular characteristics they need of an inclusive attention centred on the cultural diversity. From it, one seeks to assure the individual right to a qualit education for all the pupils, considering his differences to be not alone as for aptitudes, interests, motivations, capacities or styles of learning, but also his social characteristics and cultural derivatives of his condition of immigrants. This thesis had five chapters that they corresponded to: exposition of the problem, theoretical frame, methodological frame, analysis of information and results of the investigation.
