[spa] El arte activista no sólo aparece acompañando las luchas urbanas actuales, sino que en buena medida las impregna de sus postulados teóricos y estéticos, sobre todo en lo que hace a su voluntad de resignificar el espacio público. Ese ascendente del artivismo debería ser interrogado acerca de sus implicaciones tanto ideológicas -como expresión del programa ciudadanista de reconocimiento de la 'verdadera' democracia como solución para las injusticias sociales -como respecto de las propias dinámicas que impugna, en la medida que no deja de constituir un complemento ideal para las políticas de promoción mercantil de las ciudades a partir de su prestigio como polos de creatividad e incluso de un cierto inconformismo. Tal intuición acabaría reconociendo las pretensiones antagonistas del arte político de calle como un espejismo tras el que se ocultaría un dispositivo de desactivación del activismo político.
[eng] Activist art not only shows up in close connection with contemporary urban struggles; it actually impregnates them with its theoretical and aesthetic frameworks, especially in its intent to re-signify public space. This feature of artivism deserves our attention regarding its ideological implications as an expression of the citizen-based program for promoting 'real' democracy as a solution to social injustice, but also regarding the very dynamics it challenges, forartivism plays into the commercialization and promotion of cities based on their reputation as centers of creativity and even of a certain non-conformism. This insight leads to recognition of the antagonistic ambitions of political streetartas a mirage that masks the deactivation of political activism.Keywords: public space; urban aesthetics; public art; political art; artivism; creative cities.
