[eng] The concept of Public Usage is currently considered a useful line of work as to the preservation and management of Protected Natural Areas; this line is composed of different management tools which, if not correctly used, can lead to negative impacts on the Environment. Because of its complex and articulated nature, they must be accompanied by a catalogue (inventory): a list which illustrates what elements form the natural heritage present in the territory. The presence of this catalogue should help people to reach the goal of creating a larger and deeper knowledge on what should be preserved and, later, on how to reach agreements on administration and management levels. This Essay aims at elaborating a catalogue (inventory) of the Elements of the Landscape thanks to a qualitative method which identifies the relevant characteristics of the territory under scrutiny and the problems arising from its usage. Three Paths have been chosen in three protected natural areas in order to be able to select and classify the abiotic, biotic and cultural elements of greatest touristic value. The results show a fairly good evaluation (acceptable conditions) of the Paths with potentials susceptible to development. The elements of greatest value, among others, are: coxhila (abiotic element), Araucaria angustifolia (biotic element), dark, cool forest with food-value (cultural element). Finally, the landscape stands out: it is an interdisciplinary concept which is the vehicle for cultural and historical reflections. The interest in the landscape and its analysis triggers a topophilic feeling (affective link) towards natural areas formerly overlooked. In this way it is possible to create a sensitization capable of founding the consciousness for a better public usage of the territory.
