dc.description.abstractNew hexacyclo and octacyclo compounds have been synthesized by a short route whose key step consists of a single or double domino nucleophilic substitution of neopentyl‐type iodides with potassium cyclopentadienide, followed by intramolecular Diels-Alder cycloaddition.
