Resum

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the determinants of the adoption of insectbased products in the province of Barcelona. The aim is to explain the effect of attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control on consumption intention towards insect-based products. Since insect-based products are a novel food, and thus it is unfamiliar, relatively as compared to conventional food, food neophobia will be incorporated into the model to assess its moderation effect.
