dc.description.abstractThis article provides an appraisal of all published and unpublished, complete and excerpted translations into Catalan of Machiavelli's works, and reconstructs the cultural circumstances around their completion as a means to determine from which editions the various translators worked. It also explains how the translators confronted and resolved issues of language and syntax in The Prince .
