dc.description.abstractA simple, efficient protocol for the preparation of α-labeled aldehydes based on H/D exchange catalyzed by 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyridine or Et3N is described. High chemical yields and ratios of isotope incorporation were obtained even when small amounts (1 mmol) of aldehyde were used.
