Following initial pilot projects, the industry is moving toward commercial-scale deployments to help countries meet their energy transition targets. Spain is among these countries, with its first floating offshore wind tender expected soon. This thesis provides a global overview of the floating offshore wind industry and its (re)insurance landscape, and examines the specific challenges, opportunities, and expectations for (re)insurers considering the underwriting of these projects in Spain. | |
