[cat] Entre l’agost del 1936 i el febrer del 1939, la costa menorquina es convertí en escenari d’obres de fortificació continuades per part de l’exèrcit republicà, que temia un possible desembarcament dels rebels. Son Bou, al sud d’Alaior, encara conserva algunes d’aquestes construccions, oblidades entre la vegetació. Allà aquest patrimoni conviu amb el d’altres èpoques, des de la prehistòria fins al temps present, i es troba en un entorn natural ric en biodiversitat i de gran bellesa, però amenaçat per les pressions urbanístiques i per la freqüentació humana poc respectuosa. Proposem la creació d’un parc històric que posi en valor aquest patrimoni, que difongui la seva història i que, alhora, serveixi per garantir-ne la conservació i la del seu medi natural. A més, aquest equipament pretén convertir-se en un recurs per a la desestacionalització de l’economia turística i per a la dinamització cultural del territori. Per això, serà innovador en termes de discurs, sobre la micro-història del lloc i complementari al dels grans museus de l’illa, oferirà una programació d’activitats variada al llarg de l’any i per a tots els públics, i integrarà en el model de gestió tant l’administració pública com les empreses turístiques de la zona.
[eng] Between August 1936 and February 1939, the Minorcan coast became the stage of ongoing fortification works by the republican army, who feared a possible rebel landing on the island. Son Bou, in the south of Alaior, still preserves some of these buildings forgotten among the vegetation. There, they coexist with heritage ranging from prehistory to the present. These remains are located in a natural environment, rich in biodiversity and beauty. However, they are threatened by urban pressures and disrespectful human behaviours. We propose the creation of a historical park in order to put in value this heritage, disseminate its history and, at the same time, guarantee its conservation and that of its natural environment. In addition, this facility aims to become a resource for the deseasonalization of the tourist-centered economy of the area and for the cultural revitalization of the region. Therefore, our proposal will be innovative in terms of discourse, which will be based on the micro-history of the place and will be complementary to that of the great museums of the island, will offer a varied program of activities throughout the year for all publics, and will integrate in its management model both the public administration and the tourism companies in the area.
