Perífrasis incoativas: aproximación cognitiva y estudio de corpus

[cat] L'objectiu d'aquest article és investigar l'estructura eventiva i la coerció aspectual en els predicats verbals que incorporen perífrasis de fase inicial o incoatives. D'una banda, es presenta l'anàlisi teòrica i la representació d'aquest tipus de perífrasi des del marc de la lingüística cognitiva. D'altra banda, es realitza un estudi empíric per observar el comportament de les perífrasis incoatives en un corpus real de la llengua. Els resultats indiquen que les perífrasis incoatives mostren preferències estadísticament significatives en la selecció de la classe aspectual del verb amb el qual coapareixen. A més, les dades demostren que les perífrasis incoatives estudiades no són sinònimes, sinó que apliquen diferents graus de preferències sobre la classe eventiva del verb infinitiu.

[eng] The aim of this paper is to investigate the event structure and aspectual coercion in verbal predicates incorporating initial phase or inchoative periphrases. On the one hand, the theoretical analysis and the representation of such periphrases from the framework of cognitive linguistics are presented. On the other hand, an empirical study to observe the behaviour of the inchoative periphrases in a real corpus of language is carried out. The results indicate that the inchoative periphrases show statistically significant preferences in the selection of the aspectual class of the verb with which appear. Furthermore, the data show that the inchoative periphrases studied are not synonymous,but apply different degrees of preferences to the event class of the infinitive verb.
