Statu Quo del carnisme

Abstract

[cat] Statu Quo del carnisme neix per visibilitzar i descriure una problemàtica que s’intenta ocultar per no modificar l’estatus social i econòmic presents en la societat en la qual vivim. És un projecte interdisciplinar, en el que conflueixen la narrativa, disseny editorial i la fotografia. Utilitzant el disseny editorial i l’arxiu fotogràfic, m’apropio d’un llenguatge establert, que està a l’abast de tothom, per fer arribar un missatge de disconformitat i crítica de la realitat. Convido a l’espectador a trencar amb el món semi-artificial en el que vivim, a reflexionar sobre el sistema imposat i com afecta això a les animales, al medi ambient i al nostre propi cos. Aquest projecte s’articula com a edició d’artista, és un discurs textvisual que planteja una crítica des de diferents punts de vista i que ens fa reflexionar sobre una problemàtica que ens afecta a totes. Degut a la gran cerca d’informació realitzada al llarg de tot el procès de creació del projecte, una part ha esdevingut com a cultura d’arxiu.

[eng] Statu Quo of carnism is born to raise awareness and describe an issue that tries to be hidden in order to not modify the social and economic status in the current society. It is an interdisciplinary project in which narrative, editorial design and photography merge. By using editorial design and photographic archive, I take ownership of an established language, accessible to all, to disseminate disagreement and criticism of reality. I invite the audience to break away from the semi-artificial world we live in, to think about the system that has been imposed and how does it affect to animals, the environment and our own bodies. This project is structured as artist publishing, it is a textvisual speech critical from different perspectives, that makes us reflect upon an issue that affects us all. As a result of the extensive research process, part of the outcome has turned into cultural archive.
