Abstract
[eng] This project presents a visual and conceptual reinterpretation of the classical ballet Giselle through the creation and development of an artbook intended as a foundation for a potential animated fi lm adaptation. The aim is to preserve the emotional sensitivity, romantic narrative, and natural essence of the original work while proposing a renewed visual identity. The artistic approach is grounded in a historical and aesthetic investigation of Giselle, maintaining its 19th-century Romantic context and carefully examining its visual, expressive, and choreographic elements. Animation is explored as a powerful and accessible medium capable of bringing the depth and beauty of ballet to new audiences. Through the development of conceptual materials, such as character design, environment exploration, and visual style experimentation, the project establishes the aesthetic and narrative decisions that could shape a future animated adaptation. The central intention is to build a bridge between stage tradition and audiovisual language, maintaining the emotion, romance, and poetic core of Giselle while opening the door to creative reinterpretation through animation.
