Abstract
[eng] The following Master’s Final Thesis inscribes Benito Arias Montano’s works in peninsular humanism, as well as it connects it with European-reach tendencies. It traces the different interpretative lines to include the biblist in an Hispanic landscape, characterized by its heterogeneity. The analysis of his Castilian production, specially centered on the Paráfrasis en tono pastoril, is based on the confrontation with his Latin works, its’ importance, fundamentally philosophical. Finally, we will go through the attributed work Discursos del Eclesiastés de Salomón which, together with the Song of Songs, conforms an especially significative diptych in relation to the poetic symbology of spiritual roots.
