Resum
[eng] Rosalind Franklin was an incredible scientist who not only contributed to the discovery of DNA structure but also made contributions to the world of coal and viruses. These are the basis for many areas, such as the development of vaccines and fuel production. Instead, she is one of the victims of gender inequalities in the history of science. Since her studying years, she had been fighting for science. University was a significant learning time for her, although she could not obtain an official chemistry degree. Her stay in France was her life's best time but entering King’s College made everything more complicated. However, Franklin has been a crucial referent in the history of science, as without starting a feminist struggle, she strived to achieve her dream: to be a scientist.
Through a bibliographic review, this work acknowledges Rosalind franklin’s contributions to the history of science and provides a critical analysis from a perspective of the 21st Century.
