CHARM-EU D6.2 - Good Practices in the field of inclusion and diversity(CHARM-EU Consortium, 2022-11) CHARM-EU ConsortiumCHARM-EU shares Good Practices in the field of inclusion and diversity with everyone in the higher education sector and beyond: students, academic staff and administrative and any support staff, higher education professionals, and any other stakeholders and policymakers interested in learning about the collection of practices and interested in testing and apply them within their environments. Various practices, projects and research are inspiring, but at the same time, working with them needs to be carefully considered. Adapting and tailoring international practices and results to the domestic social, economic, and cultural ecosystem needs to be be made with consciousness. At the same time, stepping out of comfort zone and testing new, innovative practices is important. This report collects practices from CHARM-EU partner universities. CHARM-EU Inclusiveness Team designed a practice catalogue form with a criteria system to gather the wealth of practices across the CHARM-EU Alliance. CHARM-EU partner universities were encouraged to present a wide and diverse range of practices, from institutional policies, strategic plans, protocols, inclusion programs, educational activities, or any programs that step forward on the inclusion of underrepresented groups to specific activities. Various practices such as processes, programs, and procedures have been collected. These practices are showcased to inspire higher education institutions, stakeholders and individuals to take a leap and further test them in their realities.Informe

CHARM-EU D6.4 - Inclusivity Plan Review & Key Findings(CHARM-EU Consortium, 2022-12) CHARM-EU ConsortiumCHARM-EU shares the Inclusivity plan review & key findings with everyone in the higher education sector and beyond: students, academic staff and administrative and any support staff, higher education professionals, and any other stakeholders and policymakers interested in key lessons learned aspects about the design, delivery and, implementation and monitoring processes of the CHARM-EU and its Master’s Programme September 2021 and February 2023. Transforming CHARM-EU often starts with a transforming mindset to create the understanding that inclusiveness is everyone's business – and within everyone's power. A step-by-step approach has been taken to bring inclusion and diversity from the policy papers to our everyday higher education experience by transforming CHARM-EU’s organisational culture, governance models and the CHARM-EU Master's in Global Challenges for Sustainability. Bringing inclusion and diversity to the heart of CHARM-EU, in other words, means mainstreaming diversity and inclusion into every area of CHARM-EU. Indeed, it has been a big task and, some would say, ambitious and impossible. Together with all colleagues and various stakeholders since 2019, we have made many baby steps that have become big steps in transformations. CHARM-EU invites and inspires Everyone to leap to create a more inclusive higher education in Europe and beyond.Informe
CHARM-EU D6.1 - Key findings of the CHARM-EU Inclusiveness Survey(CHARM-EU Consortium, 2022-11) CHARM-EU ConsortiumThe higher education landscape has been rapidly changing in recent decades. The student population has grown, and its composition has been diversified. Many hidden and visible structural barriers hinder individuals' access to and participation in higher education. One of the most significant challenges of today's society is fostering inclusive and quality education for all. Providing access ad safeguarding equality have become prominent in countries' higher education policies and practices (Fazekas, 2018). Participating in higher education offers individuals opportunities for self-development and enhances their future employability. It becomes even more critical when considering groups at risk of social exclusion.Informe

CHARM-EU D2.1 - Report on best practices governance and management models within and out of the Higher Education System(CHARM-EU Consortium, 2020-10) CHARM-EU ConsortiumThis report was commissioned in order to inform the preparation of the European University Alliance CHARM-EU’s governance and management model, by providing innovative ideas and lessons learned on how other strategic alliances respond to the challenges of governance in a diverse and multicentric environment. Governing and managing strategic alliances is extremely challenging, particularly when an alliance brings together a huge variety of partners which are themselves decentralised organisations. There are no blueprint solutions. However, it is important to learn from the experience, both by monitoring projects within CHARM-EU and by seeking inspiration from other alliances. In the field of higher education, research and innovation, our benchmark focuses on three strategic alliances (Eucor, U4Society Network, EIT Health). Beyond the higher education sector, we explore the logic of strategic alliances in the private sector.
